PCORI Fee Guide for Self-Funded Health Plans and HRAs

The July 31 PCORI Fee Deadline Is Almost Here!

If your organization sponsors a self-funded health plan or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), the deadline to file and pay your Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee is quickly approaching.

By July 31, plan sponsors must:

• Determine the average number of covered lives during the 2025 plan year
• Calculate the fee owed
• File and submit payment using IRS Form 720
